Landscape shows greenery planted to East. Lighting for the parking lot is in discussion right now. Our engineer has specified a type of light that casts a clear edge and cuts light down to the parking lot with very little "bleed". At ten feet off the parking lot, a computer photometric shows the lights should be down to 0.0 candle power. This means that at ten feet from the parking lot there should be dark. The West Hartford Design, Architectural, Review Committee or DRAC, has asked that we find a light closer to a lantern type that would be more in keeping with the house's architectual period. Unfortunately, this type of light might have a visible bulb to neighbors. We are currently trying to determine if a particular light we have found can meet the neighbors' request first and the town's second. Our engineers are looking into the photometrics of the light pictured below.
